The Kalamazoo Reptile and Animal Expo is great for all ages and is once a month at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. Admission prices are listed above and are quite reasonable.
There are all kinds of animals, including 14 ft. Burmese pythons, Houston petting zoo bearded dragons, several types of geckos, pythons, corn snakes, alligators, turtles, tortoises, and frogs! They also have furry animals including hedgehogs, sugar gliders, chinchillas, and sometimes puppies. There have even been a couple of marmosets (monkeys) the last few months.
The vendors have things available to purchase. It is a great place to talk to breeders about different animals and you can purchase pets directly from the breeders. Recently they started a petting zoo where you can actually touch some of the animals like a python, a tortoise, an alligator and more.
The Kalamazoo Reptile & Animal Expo’s website has a list of venders, which includes many of their websites or contact information and what products/services they offer. It is a great way to preview what you want to look at when you arrive, or to get information to follow up with after the expo.
So as the colder months begin and you are looking for something interesting to do with the kids, why not check out the Reptile & Animal Expo? Spend the day not only being entertained by these reptiles and animals, but also learning more about them.
