Sarah Michelle Gellar is a famous American actress, a producer and an entrepreneur. Born to Rosellen Greenfield and Arthur Gellar on April 14, 1977, Geller could be seen in various TV series and advertisements. She was born in New York, USA and goes by the names of Sassy and SMG.

Professional Life of the Actress

Sarah Michelle Gellar was on the star pedestal for her role of Buffy Summers in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. She was awarded with 5 Teen Choice Awards, one Saturn Award and a nomination for the Golden Globe. The character she played went on to become one the greatest characters on the American small screen.
Gellar’s acting career started from 1983 with television’s “An Invasion of Privacy”. She got a major role breakthrough in 1992’s “Swans Crossing”, which also earned her a couple of nominations for Young Artists Awards.

Sarah Michelle Geller takes part in a number of charities. She is a part of Project Angel Food, Habitat for Humanity and CARE. In 2015, she established “Foodstirs”, a food crafting brand into organic baking. Geller also came up with her own book, “Stirring Up Fun with Food”.

Sarah Michelle Geller is the only child of her parents. Her mother Rosellen was a nursery school teacher and her father Arthur Geller was a garment worker. Her parents separated when she was 7 and she was brought up by her mother.
Geller is of Jewish descent but she has a Celtic tattoo on her hip, a Chinese sign on her lower back.
The Beginning of Her Career
Sarah Michelle Geller was found by an agent in a restaurant, at the age of 4. Very soon, she bagged “An Invasion of Privacy”. She had some minor roles in “Over the Brooklyn Bridge”, “Funny Farm”, “High Stakes”. Simultaneously, she made guest appearances in television series such as “Spenser” and “Crossbow”.
At the start of 1990s, she starred in “A Woman Named Jackie” and soon got famous with the teen serial “Swans Crossing”, which earned her several awards. Then she debuted in a soap opera “All My Children”, which tapped her acting skills to the core. After quitting the opera, Geller moved to Los Angeles and landed with “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the rest is history. At the same time, she made her movie debut.
Geller has a number of films to her credit and apart from acting, she was involved in lending her voice to quite a few TV series.

Sarah Michelle Gellar met her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. at the sets of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 1997. But two of them came together only in 2000 and by 2002, they were happily married. Interestingly, the couple acted in several movies together. They have 2 children – daughter Charlotte Grace and a son Rocky James. They are currently residing in Los Angeles.
